To obtain a new airport identification badge, please follow the steps below.

1. Submit Application

• Complete the appropriate badge application form, ensuring all sections are filled out accurately.
• Submit the application to your company’s Authorized Signatory to review and approve.
• Schedule a fingerprinting appointment with the Badging Office and bring your completed application with two forms of valid identification to your appointment at the Badging Office.
• A Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and Security Threat Assessment (STA) will be conducted as part of the vetting process as well.
• NOTE: It takes 8 – 10 days for FBI fingerprinting and background check process completion and approval.

2. Schedule FAA & TSA Required Training

• Upon clearance approval, the Badging Office will notify you by phone to schedule required training courses.
• Training sessions cover security protocols and responsibilities associated with badge usage.

You will receive your badge once you complete training.

• Badges must be worn visibly at all times within secure areas of the airport.
• Failure to comply with badging procedures and security regulations may result in revocation of badge privileges and potential fines. It is imperative that all badge holders adhere to established protocols to maintain a secure environment.

• It is the badge holder’s responsibility to start the renewal process at least 30 days prior to expiration. Badges are typically valid for one year.
• Report lost or stolen badges to the Badging Office immediately. A replacement fee may apply.

Each company operating at the Port of Huntsville must designate an Authorized Signatory responsible for managing badge applications and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Authorized Signatories are required to:

• Review and approve badge applications for their employees.
• Ensure employees complete necessary training and adhere to security procedures.
• Notify the Badging Office immediately of any changes in employee status, such as termination or transfer.
