The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority (“Owner”) is requesting separate sealed proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services for the TANKS #7 & #8 IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (the “Project”) at Huntsville International Airport (the “Airport”), located in Huntsville, Alabama.  Bids must be submitted electronically to Owner’s Representative, Jim Flowers, at the email address jflowers@hsvairport.org, with a copy to the Engineer, Jay Burns with Currier & Company, Inc., at the email address jay@currierandco.com, no later than 2:00 p.m. CST on September 1, 2026 (the “Bid Due Date”).  Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders included in the Request for Proposals package (the “RFP”).

Electronic copies of the Plans and Specifications and the complete Request for Proposals may be obtained at no cost by emailing the Engineer.  Any and all questions related to the Request for Proposals and other Contract Documents shall be emailed to the Engineer and the Owner’s Representative.

The Project will consist of improvements to two existing 100,000-gallon Jet-A storage tanks to make them compliant with ATA 103 and other standards.

There will be a pre-bid conference held at 2:00 p.m. CST on August 18, 2026, in the Administrative Offices at the Airport, located on the second floor of the terminal building above baggage claim.  Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly recommended for all bidders.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total contract amount, as shown on the schedule of prices, which shall be made payable to Owner and shall be subject to the conditions set forth in the bid documents.  A performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required.

Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, technicalities or irregularities in the bids received, to reject any or all bids, and to enter into negotiations with the lowest responsive bidder.  No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the Bid Due Date.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID HUNTSVILLE-MADISON COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY

The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority (“Owner”) is requesting separate sealed proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services for the Equipment Storage Building and Corporate Hangars (the “Project”) at Huntsville International Airport (the “Airport”), located at 1000 Glenn Hearn Blvd SW, Huntsville, AL 35824.  Bids shall be submitted via email to Jim Flowers, Chief Design & Construction Officer for Owner, at jflowers@hsvairport.org, with a copy to the Katelyn Wasser, Principal Architect for Archemy Architecture & Design, at katelyn@archemydesign.com no later than 3:00 p.m. on September 1st (the “Bid Due Date”). The bid shall be attached to the email in PDF format.  The subject line of the email shall state the name of the Project.  The body of the email shall include the bidder’s general contractor’s license number and classification or otherwise the bid shall be rejected.  Bidder must be an Alabama General Contractor licensed by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors for Alabama pursuant to Alabama Code Section 34-8-1, et seq.  Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be rejected.  Pre-qualification of bidders is not required.

The Project will consist of an 8,500 square foot pre-engineered metal equipment storage building, including site improvements, overhead doors, plumbing, heating, and electrical work. There will be two alternates for 11,600 sf hangars and associated site work.

There will be a pre-bid conference held on August 18^th at 11:00 a.m., in the Administrative Offices at the Airport, located on the second floor of the terminal building above baggage claim.  Attendance at the meeting is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. 

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total contract amount, as shown on the schedule of prices, which shall be made payable to Owner and shall be subject to the conditions set forth in the bid documents.  A performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required.
