February 13, 2026

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (February 12, 2026) Huntsville International Airport (HSV) today celebrated the launch of new nonstop service from Huntsville to Orlando-Sanford International Airport (SFB) on Allegiant Air, providing North Alabama travelers with another convenient and affordable gateway to Central Florida.

The HSV-SFB route is flown on Allegiant’s 180-seat Airbus aircraft with three classes of seating available. To mark the inaugural flight, Allegiant is offering introductory one-way fares on the new route starting as low as $39. The service will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays through May 17, then switch to Fridays and Mondays beginning May 22.p

“Today’s launch of nonstop service to Orlando-Sanford is a milestone for Huntsville and the entire Tennessee Valley,” said Butch Roberts, CEO of Huntsville International Airport. “Florida is one of our community’s top leisure markets, and having Allegiant providing a direct, low-cost option to the Orlando area gives our customers exactly what they’ve been asking for, convenient access, competitive fares, and a seamless way to get to one of the country’s most popular destinations.”

The addition of Orlando-Sanford expands HSV’s portfolio of leisure destinations and strengthens its commitment to providing diverse, cost-competitive travel options for the Tennessee Valley. Allegiant currently flies nonstop from Huntsville to Fort Lauderdale and now to Orlando Sanford. Allegiant will begin additional nonstop service from Huntsville on March 5 to St. Pete/Tampa (PIE) and on May 21 to Gulf Shores (GUF).

With today’s launch, Huntsville-area travelers now have a second nonstop option to Orlando, further enhancing connectivity and reinforcing HSV’s role as a key transportation asset for North Alabama.

“This is the kind of strategic air service growth that strengthens our market and creates real value for our passengers when flying from HSV,” Roberts said.
