Huntsville International Airport’s Sunset Landing Golf Course Has New Contract Operator

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (February 17, 2026) – The Port of Huntsville has selected Komara Golf Management as the new contract operator for Sunset Landing Golf Course, marking an important step in the continued stewardship and long-term success of the public golf facility. Komara will begin overseeing operations at the golf course in April 2026.
The selection reflects the Port’s commitment to providing a high-quality golf experience while ensuring responsible management, customer service excellence, and community value at Sunset Landing, located at Huntsville International Airport.
“Sunset Landing Golf Course is an important recreational asset for our community,” said Joey Ceci, Chair of the Port of Huntsville Board. “The Board is confident that Komara Golf Management brings the experience, professionalism, and vision needed to position Sunset Landing for future success.”
The new contract operator will oversee day-to-day operations, course maintenance, customer service, and programming, with a focus on enhancing the golfer experience and preserving the course’s unique character. Based in Huntsville, Komara Golf Management also owns and operates Southern Gayles Golf Club & Grill in Athens, Ala.

Sunset Landing Golf Course, located adjacent to the Airport’s West Runway, is beloved for its scenic views and accessibility for golfers of all skill levels.
