New Restrooms Are Ready for Passengers

July 10, 2025

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., July 10, 2025 – Huntsville International Airport just unveiled the newest completed phase of renovation projects under the HSV Refresh umbrella. The expansion and revamp of mid-concourse restrooms began in summer 2024, and the fresh new men’s and women’s bathrooms with the addition of a lactation room for nursing moms opened today.

The new restrooms are located on the east side of the concourse adjacent to Gate 4 and the set of family restrooms completed earlier in 2025. The mid-concourse restroom expansion was designed by EDT-THA with construction by Robins & Morton at a budget of just over $5.7 million, funding that was provided by the 2021 Bilateral Infrastructure Law (BIL). The footprint of the original restrooms has been doubled in size, and touch-free, automatic fixtures have been installed in the new spaces. Stainless steel, gap-free doors with occupancy indicators and backlit mirrors in the vanity area add to the aesthetically pleasing design.

“We are proud to offer these beautiful new amenities to our customers, and we appreciate their patience as we continue to improve our facilities for their benefit,” said Butch Roberts, Huntsville International Airport CEO.

To celebrate the opening of the “best seats in the house,” Airport staff handed out themed cookies bearing the “HSV Refresh” logo to passengers. For more information about Airport projects, visit HSVrefresh.com.
